Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services

In-Home OT within Metuchen NJ and surrounding Middlesex County areas.

Individualized occupational therapy provided in the comfort of your child's home and natural environment. Sessions are designed around your child's strengths, interests, needs, and everyday activities that are meaningful to them.

Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, child-led, relationship-based, and DIRFloortime-informed, with a focus on supporting participation rather than changing who a child is. We specialize in working with early intervention (1.5–3 years old) and elementary-aged children (3–10 years old) who may need extra support in a variety of areas.

*All services are currently paid out-of-pocket. We do not bill insurance at this time, but may explore insurance options in the future. Pricing varies based on session type and frequency — contact us for details.

In-Home Occupational Therapy (Direct with the Child):

What We Support

Fine Motor & Meaningful Participation

Supporting children in developing the motor skills needed to participate in activities that are meaningful to them — from drawing and building to crafts, play, school activities, and self-care.

Rather than focusing solely on isolated skills, we look at what the child wants and needs to do and find engaging, individualized ways to support participation.

Play, Connection & Engagement

Play is one of the most meaningful ways children explore their world and connect with others.

Using a child-led approach, we follow each child's interests and strengths while supporting shared engagement, communication, problem-solving, flexibility, and joyful participation.

We believe connection comes before compliance.

Daily Living & Autonomy

Supporting children in developing confidence and independence with everyday activities such as dressing, eating, grooming, personal care, and routines.

We respect each child's preferences, communication, sensory needs, and pace while exploring adaptations and strategies that make daily activities more accessible and meaningful.

Independence doesn't have to look the same for every child.

Sensory Processing & Environmental Support

Every child experiences and responds to their environment differently.

We work with children and families to better understand individual sensory preferences and needs and explore strategies and environmental adaptations that can support comfort, participation, and access to meaningful activities.

Our goal isn't to make a child tolerate everything around them. Instead, we look at how we can change the environment, expectations, or activity to better support the child.

Child-Led & Relationship-Based Practice

Our therapy is guided by the child.

We incorporate principles from DIRFloortime and relationship-based approaches to meet children where they are, follow their interests, build connection, and support development through meaningful interactions and play.

We recognize that children communicate in many different ways and that connection, autonomy, and authentic communication are important parts of development.
